Green waste removal across Sydney
Green waste removal comes up after the big garden weekend, when the pile ends up three times the size of the green bin. A tree that's been cut back, a hedge that finally got trimmed, or a backyard left to run wild for a couple of seasons.
Photograph the pile and send it through. We reply with a fixed price, and once you approve it we arrive with the truck, load everything, rake the spot clean and take it away.
- Fully insured (public liability)
- Fixed quote from photos
- No deposit, pay once loaded
What's included
What you get
Included in your quote
- Loading cut branches, prunings, palm fronds and bagged clippings
- Carrying from the backyard, side passage or front lawn to the truck
- A rake and sweep of the ground where the pile sat
- Garden waste disposal costs, including tip fees and the NSW waste levy, built into your quote
What we take
- Tree and shrub prunings, branches and hedge trimmings
- Palm fronds and dead seed pods
- Grass clippings, leaves and pulled weeds, bagged or loose
- Small stumps and root balls that can be lifted by hand
- Dead pot plants, old garden edging and broken garden furniture in the same pile
What we can't take
What we don't take
- Standing trees: we load what's already cut and don't do felling or climbing
- Large stumps that need grinding or a machine to lift
- Soil, turf and sand in volume (heavy, quoted separately or declined)
- Garden chemicals, pesticides and fertiliser in containers
- Asbestos, or anything that might contain it
- Chemicals
- Paint and solvents
- Oils and fuels
- Gas bottles
- Liquids
- Medical or clinical waste
- Batteries in bulk
- Anything else hazardous
For asbestos, please use a licensed asbestos removalist. For household chemicals, paint and gas bottles, use a Community Recycling Centre or a household chemical drop-off day.
Heavy materials (soil, concrete, bricks, tiles, rubble) are quoted separately because of our truck's 2-tonne payload, and some loads may need to be declined.

How a green waste removal quote works
Garden waste removal is priced mostly on volume, so the most useful photo is taken from a few steps back and shows the whole pile, with a wheelie bin, fence or car beside it for scale.
Mention anything long, like branches over two metres, and any soil or turf mixed through. Wet clippings and soil weigh far more than they look, and the truck carries 2 tonnes, so they change the price.
If the pile is out the back, add a photo of the path to the street. Narrow side passages and steps are fine, we just need to see them.
Photos that help us quote
- The whole pile from a few steps back
- Something next to it for scale
- Long branches, stumps or root balls up close
- The route from the pile to where the truck parks

Green bin or a truck?
If the clippings will fit in your green bin over the next couple of collections, that's the simplest option. Keep a bin's worth aside and let the rest go on the truck if that suits.
A truck makes sense when the pile is too big to feed into a bin week by week, when garden rubbish removal is mixed with other junk, or when the yard needs to be clear by a set date, like an open home or an inspection.
Getting the pile ready
Stack branches with the cut ends facing the same way and keep the pile off the driveway if you can. It makes loading tidier and lets the truck back in close.
Keep soil, rocks and turf in their own heap rather than mixed through the prunings. It's easier to quote, and green waste disposal is simpler when the load is mostly plant material.
FAQ
Green waste removal: common questions
Do I need to cut branches down to size first?
No. We load branches as they are, as long as they can be carried by hand, and we bring a second person for the long ones. Big limbs are fine if you show them in the photos.
Can you take palm fronds?
Yes. They're awkward, spiky and never fit in a bin, which makes them well suited to a truck pickup. A photo of the stack is enough.
Will you take soil and turf with the prunings?
A few bags mixed in is usually fine. Large amounts are heavy, so they're quoted separately because of the 2-tonne payload, and some loads may be declined.
Do you cut down trees?
No. We remove green waste that's already on the ground. Get an arborist for the tree itself and we can take away what they leave behind.
