Towers, docks and terraces without parking

Most homes in the city are apartments, and many buildings want removalists booked through the building manager, using the goods lift and loading dock at set times. We work to whatever window your building gives you.

In the older inner-city streets, you'll often find narrow terraces with no off-street parking, steep internal stairs and small rear courtyards. Some have lane access at the back, which can make loading easier.

Offices and shops clearing out furniture or old equipment usually need to coordinate with building management as well, so let us know who to talk to.

Common jobs

Typical jobs in Sydney CBD & Inner City

  • Office rubbish removal

Office moves and refits leave desks, chairs, partitions and filing cabinets that have to come down through a shared dock.

  • Furniture & couch removal

From city apartments, it's mostly furniture that won't suit the next place, carried down in the goods lift.

  • E-waste removal

Monitors, printers and old TVs pile up in offices and apartment storerooms after upgrades.

  • Household rubbish removal

Small apartments mean storage cages and balconies fill up, and one load usually clears the lot.

  • Mattress removal

Getting a mattress down narrow terrace stairs is a two-person carry, so we bring a second person for jobs like this.

FAQ

Rubbish removal in Sydney CBD & Inner City: questions

Where will the truck park in the city?

We use your building's loading dock if it has one and the truck clears its height limit. Otherwise we find the closest legal spot, and a photo of the street out front helps us plan.

Our building manager wants proof of insurance before removalists come in. Is that a problem?

No. We can send our certificate of currency for public liability on request.

Do I need to be there if the building has a concierge?

No, as long as the quote is approved and the concierge or building manager can let us in and show us the dock. If you're not there, we'll call once it's loaded and text you a secure card payment link.

Can you take green waste from courtyards and balconies?

Yes. Dead pot plants, courtyard prunings and old planter boxes are fine. Bagged potting mix is heavy, so include it in your photos and we'll price it in.
